Before getting into my first blog post here at The Geeky Farmer I thought I would introduce myself. I am a devoted follower of Christ, a husband and a father of a great four year old boy, and a geek.
Follower of Christ
I have been a Christian for almost all of my life. Not the everyday "Christian" you meet that lives just like the rest of the world. I'm one of the few who actually tries to serve God in everything I do (1 Cor 2:2). From creating a Christian guild in World of Warcraft (Carriers of the Cross) to starting an online ministry with my wife called Eternal Truth Ministry where me and a few others write articles to help others live a life devoted to Christ.
Family/Personal Life
After High School I joined the U.S. Navy for four years, where I met my beautiful wife, Danae. In 2006 I got out of the Navy and moved to Colorado Springs, where my son Malikai was born. I now work as an I.T. for a large corporation where I service everything from personal computers to servers and even satellite ground equipment. Being in a city with scenery as beautiful as it is here in Colorado Springs I have also taken up photography as a hobby. For this reason many of my app reviews will be dealing with photography. :)
I'm a geek
In 2007 I got absolutely tired of windows XP crashing on me all the time so I switched to using linux on my main computer. Since I spent all day every day at work messing with computers I did not feel like doing that when I got home as well. Every day I was having weird things happen that just required a lot of time to mess with, so I switched to OS X and never looked back. Since I use a Mac as my main computer it is only common sense to get an iPhone and iPad instead of one of the alternatives. Other than being a mac user I spend a lot of time programming in PHP, play games (mainly Starcraft 2 and some xbox games), and sometimes build my own computers. Well, that is about all there is to know about me. I look forward to sharing my iOS app reviews with you.
